More Frequently Asked Questions

Are children allowed on the Artistry Crowning Beauty Vervanista Cruise?

While most Cruise qualifiers do not attend with their children, children are allowed on the cruise provided they meet the requirement of Carnival Cruise Line:

All facts stated below apply at sailing.

Infants sailing aboard a Carnival Vessel must be at least 6 months old on the first day of the cruise.
However, for voyages that have 3 or more days at sea, the infant must be at least 12 months old at time of sailing.

No guest younger than 21 years of age will be assigned to a stateroom unless accompanied in the same stateroom by an adult 21 years old or older. A guest’s age is established upon the first date of sailing.  This age limit will be waived for children sailing with their parents or guardians in connecting staterooms. A married couple under 21 may travel in the same stateroom if proof of marriage is provided upon embarkation.

Adults who are not the parent or legal guardian of a minor traveling with them must present an original notarized letter signed by the child’s parent(s), authorizing the adult to take the child on the specific cruise, supervise the child and allow emergency medical treatment to be administered. Failure to produce this letter at embarkation may result in denied boarding, with no refund of cruise fare.

For more information regarding sailing with children or minors, see Carnival Sailing with Children and Minors.

How can I order a t-shirt?

Email Debra@ArtistryCrowningBeauty to order your t-shirt before December 1, 2018. Indicate your size, name, address and phone number, please.

T-shirts are $25 each and will be charged to your credit card submitted on your registration. There will be a group photo on board during the cruise where everyone wears their Artistry shirt!

What time is the dinner seating on board?

The Artistry Crowning Beauty Vervanista Group will be seated at the early dinner seating at 6:00 pm each night on board. Every accommodation will be made to seat you with your group or in close proximity. Only those who book their cruise with Elite Travel in our cabin block can be guaranteed to be seated in the Artistry Crowning Beauty Vervanista Group dining area and time.

What is the best airport to fly into?

• New Orleans International Airport is only 15 miles from the Port of New Orleans Cruise Terminal, approximately 25 minutes drive time.

If you are flying in early and staying in New Orleans, there are several options available for transportation to the pier.

Current Taxi rates are about $36.00 for two people each way.  $15 per person for 3 or more.

An alternative to a taxi is UberX basic starting at $33 minimum for your group or Lyft is another recommendation.

How and when will I receive my documents for the cruise?

Cruise Lines no longer issue paper tickets and documents for cruises. Once your final payment has been paid, you will receive a confirmation email with your booking number from Elite Travel.  You then go to Carnival’s website at Online Boarding Passes and Luggage Tags and complete your online check in.  You’ll be able to print a boarding pass and luggage tags from your computer.

Are there meetings on board with the Artistry Crowning Beauty Vervenista Group that I should plan on attending?

Yes! There will be a couple of brief meetings on board with the entire Artistry Crowning Beauty Vervenista Group together.  Meeting times will be emailed to all cruisers before your sailing.  Attendance at either of the two complimentary beauty sessions is not a requirement for cruise participation.

Will there be a group photo taken on board?

Yes! Please plan to bring your Artistry t-shirt with you on the cruise for the group photo. Time and Place will be announced by email a few days prior to the cruise.

Where can I get more information about the ship?

Carnival SS Triumph – Overview

How can I book a shore excursion?

Two ways:

1) Book Carnival offered excursions. Once your final payment is submitted, you can go to the
Carnival website and access your booking (we will provide you with your booking number), and
your Cruise Planner.  From there, you can book your excursions.  Find out about Carnivals Best Price Guarantee.

2) We highly recommend booking your Cozumel shore excursions by clicking HERE.  Book your Yucatan shore excusion by clicking HERE.  These tours are offered by a supplier that serves the cruise industry. Their group sizes are usually smaller than the cruise line offers (average group size is 8 – 12), and the price of the excursions can be up to 40% less than the cruise line prices. When booking through the above link, your shore excursion record is automatically linked to your cabin booking.

What do I need to bring?

Days onboard are casual and you’ll be most comfortable in sport clothes and resort wear. Shoes should be lowheeled for deck activities. Bring a few swimsuits so you’ll always have a dry one. You don’t have to bring towels, as they are provided. And don’t forget your camera and binoculars, so you don’t miss a thing.

When you’re onshore, shorts, polo shirts, light sweaters, khakis and jeans are perfectly acceptable. Of course, you’ll want to pack some comfortable walking shoes as well as a hat and sunscreen for protection from the sun.
There will be one formal dinner on the cruise and it’s your chance to get a little gussied up. The guys usually wear anything from nice jackets and slacks to suits and ties. The ladies wear anything from cocktail dresses, to dressy pant suits, or nice dresses.

What is the ship’s currency?

Cash is not accepted on board. Carnival will establish an on board account for you. Should you make any onboard purchases (gift shop and casino purchases, spa /salon treatments, beverages, shore excursions, etc) your Sea Pass card (given at check in) will be swiped and items charged to your on board account.  At the end of the cruise, CSST will charge your ship board account balance to your credit card (which they ask for at check in).

What is included in my cruise fare?

Your cabin accommodation, ocean transportation, food in the main dining room and buffet restaurant, on board entertainment, all port charges and taxes, and gratuities to the wait staff and housekeeping.

What is not included in my cruise fare?

Meals at the specialty dining restaurants, spa and salon services, golf simulator, gambling, art auction, any purchase made in on board gift shops, shore excursions, photographs, video arcade, medical services, internet access, transfers between the airport and the ship, laundry and dry cleaning, ship to shore telephone calls, alcoholic beverages, non alcoholic beverages (excluding filtered water, lemonade and iced tea)
